All good things must come to an end. NCIS: New Orleans is no exception. The Crescent City-based cop drama is gearing up for its final episode. The series finale will air this Sunday. Recently, CBS aired a teaser to let fans know what to expect as the popular spinoff draws to its conclusion.

The teaser promises that NCIS: New Orleans will go out on a high note. It seems that the series finale will be both pulse-pounding and heartwarming. So, fans have an emotional rollercoaster to look forward to this weekend. That’s just the on-screen emotion.

Some fans have some strong feelings about the spinoff coming to an end. In fact, several viewers say that the show should run for at least one more season. They say that the show won’t be able to come to a satisfactory end on such short notice. The end of NCIS: New Orleans is shocking to some. Among those surprised by the end of the show is the series lead Scott Bakula.

The promo for the series finale features a moment fans of the show have been wanting to see for quite some time. Pride and Rita are finally going to say “I do.” However, there’s so much more going on. The series has several loose ends to secure before the final credits roll. Luckily, showrunners have had plenty of time to hammer out a finale that will bring the series full circle.

The NCIS: New Orleans series finale is titled, “Laissez les Bon Temps Rouler,” which translates to “Let the Good Times Roll.” However, the finale won’t be all good times for the Bakula-led cast. The official synopsis for the episode is, “On the eve of his wedding to Rita, and Connor leaving for the Witness Protection Program, Pride must track down who attacked Jimmy and Connor, while navigating Sasha’s ulterior motives regarding her son.”

NCIS New Orleans Fans Have Mixed Emotions

The official NCIS: New Orleans Twitter account mentioned that the series is coming to a close next week. Fans sounded off in the replies with mixed emotions.

One Twitter user is heartbroken by the end of the show. They tweeted, “Excellent show, great writing. Feel like I’m losing a family member. So upset CBS cancelled a great show, excellent cast, n (sic) keep some of the trash they call entertainment. I only watch 6 shows on CBS cause all others r not to my liking. Now down to 5.”

Another fan of the series is swearing off NCIS altogether after this spinoff ends. They said they would never invest time in one of the several shows again. Another NCIS: New Orleans fan shared similar feelings. However, they said that they cut ties early. “I stopped watching when they told us it was the last year. They almost always kill the good shows.”

Tune in next Sunday on CBS to see how it all ends.
