Former “NCIS: NOLA” star Lucas Black has a lot on his plate these days, both literally and figuratively.

After a successful hunt recently, Lucas Black cooked up a nice meal for him and his family. Aside from “NCIS: NOLA,” the actor is known for his work on television shows like “American Gothic”. He’s also had numerous roles in various films like starring alongside Billy Bob Thornton in “Sling Blade” in 1996. Some of his other film roles include “Jarhead” and “The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift” among many others.

An avid hunter and cook, he combines these hobbies when he can. After recently bagging a deer, he put a few videos on social media showing how he prepares the meat. it is far from the first time he’s recorded videos of his hobbies to post online for fans and social media followers to see.

Lucas Black includes a couple of videos and pics showing how he prepares the meat, urging fans to try the recipe. He also includes a few words with his post, explaining his love of cooking meat he’s claimed.

“The boys and I are bringing home the meat,” he says in the social media post. “I do not hunt only for trophies. I hunt for the meat and to feed my family the natural wild game that God provided for us.”

Lucas Black Shares Tips for Cooking Wild Game

The former “NCIS: NOLA” actor then talks about his passion for preparing and feasting on wild game.

“Mankind has hunted from the beginning and it is very satisfying to keep the instinct alive,” Lucas Black later says in the social media post. “When you go out in the wild and kill game to eat, you have a connection with your food. My deer stays in my hands once I have killed it… I field dress it, I butcher it, I cook it, and we (family & maybe a few lucky friends) eat it.”

The 38-year-old Alabama native is a big football fan and even played the sport back in his high school days. He claims to be a big fan of the University of Alabama Crimson Tide football team, often expressing his fandom on social media.

Lucas Black also loves to fish and prepare his catches with his own special recipes. He once said that if he could have any career in the world — he would select a career as a professional fisherman. I’m sure many of our Outsiders feel the exact same way.

We hope to see Lucas Black back on our television set or on the big screen in the future. Until then, he’ll be “gone fishing.”
