A new season of NCIS a new season of drama and intrigue. The season premiere started with Agent Gibbs bloody in the water. However, it didn’t leave him in a bad way for long. He finds himself reunited with his team after being helped by some local farmers. However, the Episode 3 title was just revealed and it may reveal plenty.

Titled as Road to Nowhere, perhaps the team finds themselves getting stuck, or finding no answers after a long search. While the show has always relied on positive attitudes and a feeling that the team can do anything together, this title seems to say they will not find themselves so optimistic.

After Gibbs had his boat accident, an explosion that left him with shrapnel in his abdomen, things get going with the team. They are searching after a serial killer. While the second episode has yet to air, they could be searching for the killer by the time October comes around. If they are, Road to Nowhere seems to say suggest there are no answers.

The serial killer arc is likely to last more than a few episodes. That means the team is going to have to dig down deep if they want to put an end to the violence. With Gibbs healed up, it should be easier. That doesn’t guarantee anything though. The drama that NCIS is known for could mean this drags out for a while. If that is the case, fans are going to be treated to quite the manhunt.

Perhaps another member of the team finds themselves in danger. Or, they could find themselves targeted by the killer specifically.

‘NCIS’ Season Premiere Does Not Disappoint

In the Season 19 premiere of NCIS, fans were not let down. The trailer ahead of the new season recapped the explosion that Gibbs was involved in. When he emerged from the water, he was bloody and wounded badly. When he came to, he was in a barn explaining that he was in fact not a criminal. He soon made his way back to his team.

When the team reconnected, they were swarmed by members. With Gibbs as the team’s resident sniper, he looked down the scope and made good on his shots. After confronting the intruders, the team had some internal conflict. McGee and Gibbs don’t always see eye to eye.

“We’re better together,” Gibbs told McGee. “We need to be your team.” Then he hits his Agent with, “I’m proud of you.” After the words from his boss, McGee asks that iconic question, “Whaddya got?”

By the time the episode ended, viewers had tuned in and gave the show great ratings. Against a slate of other programs, they put up a great set of numbers. Now, fans prepare for the second episode of the season, hoping to see progress made in the serial killer case.
