“NCIS” star Katrina Law took a break from her busy filming schedule for a heartwarming photo op with her young daughter. And the results were adorable. Law decided to do a little reading with her young daughter, given the pile of children’s books.
The actor picked some of her favorites from the bunch, including a book that had a pop-up shark for instance. With “NCIS” ramping up for another season, Law will have to balance joining the show as a series lead with being a mother to her daughter as well.
On Instagram, she wrote: “Lunch breaks during Photoshoots.”
Fans already got a glimpse of Law’s Special Agent Jessica Knight in Season 18. The show introduced the character during the last two episodes of the season as a guest star. The character specialized in hostage negotiations in intense situations. She showed up as a woman on a mission during the final two episodes. Law’s character was the sole survivor of the NCIS REACT team. A bomb explosion killed the rest of her team and she wanted answers.
Katrina Law Joins ‘NCIS’
But Katrina Law must have made an impression with viewers because she’s coming back for Season 19 as a series regular. Law will be taking a permanent spot on the team at least for one season. Law’s entrance comes as Emily Wickersham’s Ellie Bishop says goodbye to the show. Bishop had been a mainstay on the show for several seasons and was in a will-they-won’t-they relationship with Nick Torres.
Law is one of two new actors that “NCIS” is bringing into the show for Season 19. The other is character actor Gary Cole, who will be filling some holes left in the team. Executive producer and Showrunner Steven Binder discussed adding some new blood to the series. He believes that Law will play an important role in helping the upcoming season to be one of the best ones yet.
“We haven’t shot a single frame quite yet, but with the addition of Gary Cole and Katrina Law to the cast, this is already shaping up to be one of the best seasons yet.” Binder went on to add, “Going into season 19, we are excited to have new characters and stories to tell that adds to and reenergizes the world we’ve come to love over the 400+ episodes.”
Meanwhile, “NCIS” star Wilmer Valderrama believes that Law “just fits right in and we’re having a lot of fun. Both of our characters have a lot of interesting dynamics and energies and philosophies [in common], so I think these two characters are going to have fun in the field as well.”
