While she’s not filming the upcoming film about Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz, Nicole Kidman has taken to running. The actress posted a fun photo on her Instagram of herself enjoying the outdoors while taking a jog outside.

She captioned the picture, “Running into the weekend.”

‘Being the Ricardos’ Follows a Week in Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz’s Life

Nicole Kidman will play the iconic comedian and producer Lucille Ball in an Aaron Sorkin film about Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz. The film will follow a week of their lives together behind the scenes of I Love Lucy. The week will culminate in a “bombshell” that could destroy their lives.

Aaron Sorkin told Entertainment Tonight that the film “takes place during a production week of I Love Lucy… A Monday table read to Friday audience taping, with a whole bunch of long flashbacks which are telling the story that got us here.”

What the big “bombshell” will be remains unknown. More details about the plot have been kept under wraps, but Ball’s daughter has said that this is very much a story about her parents and not the characters they played on television. Lucie, Ball and Arnaz’s daughter, has also taken an active role in the film, helping ensure that it portrays her parents authentically.

Nicole Kidman is Excited for People to See the Film

Playing someone like Lucille Ball would be quite daunting, even for an actress as seasoned as Nicole Kidman. While she’s excited, she expressed that the role is intimidating.

“I was like, ‘Yeah, I would love to give it a go,’” Kidman told Variety about her decision to accept the part. “With Aaron’s words and his direction and Javier … that’s kind of a wonderful prospect to, you know. But yikes, off we go. Give it a go. Try my best—see if I can do it.”

But of course, Kidman’s also excited not only to play Ball, but for people to see the film.

“I’m very excited for people to see what Aaron found out about her and the way he’s interpreted Desi and Lucy and the way that it’s so rich. I didn’t know any of this,” She said to Variety.

While Kidman is set to play Lucille Ball, Javier Bardem will play her husband and co-star, Desi Arnaz. It also features a strong supporting cast, with J.K Simmons playing William Frawley and Nina Arianda playing Vivian Vance.

Hopefully, Kidman enjoys her time off before getting back to set. The film has no set release date yet, but since it’s still filming, it’ll be a while before it hits the big screen.
