According to a press release about musician Chris Daughtry’s daughter’s recent death, no arrests have been made so far in the ongoing investigation.
Authorities found 25-year-old Hannah Price dead in her Nashville, Tennessee home on Friday. Hannah and her brother, Griffin, 23, are Daughtry’s wife Deanna‘s children from a previous marriage. The couple has been married since 2000. They are also the biological parents of 10-year-old twins Noah James and Adalyn Rose.
The news of Hannah’s death has rocked Chris Daughtry and his family. The rocker had a scheduled performance in New Jersey on Friday. However, his band has postponed all future tour dates for now.
FOX News shared details of a press release from DA Jared Effler about Hannah’s passing. He stated that police are investigating her death, but that it’s “premature” to deem it murder.
“On Friday, November 12, 2021, the Fentress County Sheriffs Office and the Regional Forensic Center began an investigation into the death of Hannah Marie Price, age 25,” the release said.
“This is a death investigation and any attempt to classify it as a homicide investigation at this time is premature and irresponsible. Further, no one has been arrested pertaining to the death of Ms. Price,” the release continued. “Once the investigation into the death of Hannah Marie Price is complete, authorities will forward their findings to the Eighth Judicial District Attorney General’s Office for review.”
Chris Daughtry is most well-known for appearing on the fifth season of American Idol. The rock singer came in fourth place in the singing competition show, and has gone on to have a successful music career. Daughtry has received four Grammy nominations and recently released his sixth studio album.

On Saturday, Chris Daughtry spoke out about Hannah’s death in a touching Instagram post. The 41-year-old just lost his mother recently as well after she battled cancer. Yet he admitted that he at least got to say goodbye to his mom. Sadly, the family didn’t get to do the same when it came to their daughter.
“I am still processing the last 24 hours,” he wrote. “I’m absolutely devastated and heartbroken. I just recently lost my mother to cancer but I was blessed with the chance to say goodbye and I was processing it privately. We never got to say goodbye to our precious Hannah and it’s another huge hit to our family.”
“Thank you all for your kind words and condolences,” Chris Daughtry continued. “They are truly felt and appreciated. I am now taking time be present with my family as we attempt to heal from this devastating loss. Hannah, I love you. I miss you. I wish I could hold you. This hurts so deeply.”
