Usually, the members of the Pawn Stars cast don’t like to lose anything, but fan-favorite star Chumlee (38) lost quite a bit of weight recently – 150 pounds to be exact. In order to celebrate his healthy victory, the celebrity created a before-and-after post that demonstrated the noticeable difference in Chumlee’s figure. Both photos were from red carpet walks, the one on left from his heavier days, dressed in a tuxedo and sneakers. In Chumlee’s after photo, he not only seemed to lose weight but gain a bit of fashion sense, too. Along with a sleek black suit, the Pawn Stars employee wore a trendy, wide-brimmed hat and full beard.
“Can you believe it, I’ve lost over 150lbs !! How many people out there have always struggled with your weight like I did?” the Pawn Stars team member asked his followers on Facebook.
He also encouraged fans to share some of their own personal struggles through the years to see how he could “help” them “out.”
Fellow ‘Pawn Stars’ Team Member Inspires Chumlee to Embark on Mission to Lose Weight
Chumlee’s wouldn’t have opted for a healthier lifestyle if it weren’t for his good friend and fellow Pawn Stars castmate, Corey Harrison. Like Chumlee, Harrison wanted to drop a little extra weight and start making healthier choices when it came to diet and exercise. So, back in 2014, Harrison underwent a transformation that would inspire Chumlee to do the same years later.
According to an interview with People, part of Harrison’s journey was to eliminate all processed foods from his diet and to undergo gastric bypass surgery. In the end, the fellow Pawn Stars celebrity lost a total of 192 pounds.
“I could never go back to weighing as much as I did,” Harrison said after losing the extra weight. “It made me realize what I ate, how I ate and what I did to myself. It was a WOW moment.”
Meanwhile, Chumlee adopted Harrison’s idea to eliminate processed foods. He also embraces a new motto.
“It was time for me to get healthy,” the Pawn Stars team member shared. “When I first began, I eliminated all processed foods except mustard. Now, ‘everything in moderation’ is my motto.”
Now, with their new, fit figures, people hardly recognize the two pawn shop celebrities. Harrison, in particular, has puzzled a few fans on the streets.
“When I meet fans, they are always congratulating me on the weight loss,” Harrison explained. “They actually say, ‘You look just like that guy from Pawn Stars, but you are a lot skinnier and better looking than him.’ ” I say, ‘trust me, if I were going to pretend to be someone, it wouldn’t be that guy from Pawn Stars.’ ”
