Rick and Corey Harrison see strange things enter their shop on every Pawn Stars episode. In this instance, Corey dropped a good amount of money on some puppets a seller brought.

Debuting in the episode “Pawnocchio,” someone brought in a trio of Pinocchio puppets. Based on the Disney film, Bob Baker designed them in 1990 to decorate Disney Stores. Considering how popular and renowned the movie is, Rick and his son were sure they’d be worth some serious cash. However, as per usual, they called in an expert to make sure their suspicions were correct. The seller wanted $5,000, which isn’t necessarily a lot for the store, but is still a lot to spend on some puppets.

Rick called in Johnny from a local store called Toy Shack for his thoughts. The store regularly calls Johnny for toys, action figures, and things of that nature. It turns out only 200 puppets were created, making them incredibly valuable if they were authentic. Johnny deduced they were the real deal and appraised them at approximately $6,000 apiece.

Being a pawn shop, Rick and Corey couldn’t give the seller the $18,000 the puppet trio was worth. However, after some back and forth haggling, settled on $9,500. All things considered, both sides walked away winners. The seller is nearly $10,000 richer, and the pawn shop now has three puppets avid Disney enthusiasts are sure to want.

Corey Harrison Talks About How A Doctor’s Visit ‘Freaked’ Him Out and Prompted a Huge Lifestyle Change

Pawn Star fans have likely noticed both Rick’s sons Corey and Chumlee are bigger gentlemen. They’ve also probably noticed the two have steadily lost weight over the years. In Corey’s case, a doctor’s visit scared him to the point he made a major lifestyle change.

Near the show’s beginning, Corey weighed around 400 pounds. A Good Morning America article from 2014 reported he lost nearly half his weight in record time when he was 31 years old. So, what prompted this life-changing decision? Apparently, a routine doctor’s visit was enough to alter how he lived. The doctor informed him he was pre-diabetic. Realizing the gravity of the situation, he wasted no time with weight loss.

Corey recalled the experience vividly. “Literally, I’m driving home from the doctor’s office, kind of freaked out about it, and I see the place where they do lap band [surgeries], and I just pulled in and said, ‘What does it take to have the surgery?’ I didn’t have much money at the time. I pulled out four credit cards and put it on that, and there you go!”

Not only did it help him lose roughly 200 pounds, it pushed him to maintain a healthier lifestyle and he’s kept the weight off since.
