Once again, “Pioneer Woman” Ree Drummond’s husband, Ladd, has injured himself while working on their ranch in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. Thankfully, his most recent incident was much less severe and even slightly amusing.

Drummond and her daughter, Alex, shared a lengthy video on Instagram Live on Wednesday. That’s when she revealed her husband’s most recent injury that stemmed from an interaction with one of their ranch animals.

“This is what it’s like being married to a rancher/cowboy/country boy,” the Pioneer Woman said in the video.

“I said, ‘How was your day, honey?’ And he said, ‘I got kicked in the head by a cow.'”

“Are you serious? That’s horrible. Is he OK?” their daughter asked.

Supposedly this time around Ladd is doing just fine after getting kicked by the cow. To the relief of all, Drummond seemed more entertained by the incident than anything. Additionally, after Ladd’s injury scare back in March, he’s slowly returned to his duties on the ranch. In fact, the father of four had just ventured out to work on the ranch before the mother and daughter began their Instagram Live video.

“Ladd just went out and burned some pasture, wearing a neck brace and all,” Drummond commented.

“It’s such a funny sight seeing my dad in his neck brace on the Jeep, lighting things on fire,” Alex replied with a laugh.

‘Pioneer Woman’ Ree Drummond’s Nephew Hospitalized After Accident

Back in March, two members of the Pioneer Woman’s family were injured in a crash leaving Ree Drummond’s nephew in “critical condition.”

Reports stated that both Ladd and their nephew, Caleb, were both driving fire trucks to take care of fires on the ranch property. That’s when they hit each other head-on. High winds on a gravel road led to decreased visibility, which allegedly caused the accident.

According to Access, Caleb was thrown around 70 feet from his Himmat fire truck. Neither Caleb nor Ladd were wearing seatbelts at the time of their collision. Paramedics rushed the Pioneer Woman’s nephew to St. John Medical Center in Tulsa. The wreck left Caleb in critical condition with internal injuries. In addition, he sustained injuries to his leg, arm, and head.

Ladd denied medical treatment at the scene of the accident at the time. However, Drummond later revealed that her husband fractured his neck in two places.

A few weeks later, their daughter Alex shared an update on her dad’s condition. She announced that her father is recovering and getting back to working on their Oklahoma ranch.

“A lot of people are asking how our dad is,” Alex said at the time. “He’s doing a lot better. He’s recovering, and he’s starting to get back into ranch work.”
