Reba McEntire says she would “love” to do a reboot of her sitcom, Reba. The country music icon and TV personality spoke about the possibility of joining her former co-stars once again during an interview this week.

The series featured Reba portraying a single mother recently divorced from dentist, Brock Hart. Her character headlined the sitcom with her no-nonsense and wise-cracking personality.

While speaking with Evan Paul and Amber Atnip of Taste of Country Nights, Reba, 65, revealed her thoughts on the reboot idea. “I’d even like to do a reboot of the Reba TV show,” she said. “That would be a lot of fun, because we had so many stories we were wanting to tell when they canceled us, so we were shocked.”

Airing on the WB and the CW, Reba ran from 2001 until 2007. According to the “Fancy” singer, she remains clueless as to why the studio pulled the plug on the show.

“We had no idea why they canceled us,” McEntire said. “We were a huge success, so it was a head-scratcher for us. So to come back now … that amount of time, that time spread, we’d have a lot of stories to tell.”

When Reba McEntire Teased a ‘Reba’ Reboot in Years Past

Reba’s interview this week marks one of several times she talked about rebooting the show. Back in 2017, during an interview with Entertainment Tonight, she said the cast held discussions about bringing back the sitcom.

“There have been some [talks] in the past and hopefully some in the future too,” she said. “We’d love to do it.”

Furthermore, Reba teased fans back in 2018, posting a photo with former castmates Melissa Peterman and Christopher Rich.

“Now all we need is the rest of the REBA cast!!” McEntire captioned the snap. Peterman, who portrayed Barbara Jean Booker Hart, replied to the post writing, “I have their phone numbers … Let’s do this!!! Xoxo love you.”
