Elle Woods is that you?! We’re seriously having flashbacks to Harvard Law School and pink platforms in Reese Witherspoon’s latest Instagram photo. Only the photo isn’t of a young Reese. It’s of her daughter Ava Philippe – but their similarities are astounding.

Ava Phillippe just celebrated her 22nd birthday. Being the amazing mom she is, Witherspoon shared a gorgeous photo of her daughter with a sweet message. While she calls her a “little girl” in the caption, it’s meant as a cute joke. Witherspoon goes on to share how proud she is of the woman her daughter is becoming.

“Happy Birthday to my sweet little girl…excuse me… I mean my adult daughter!!! Words can’t describe how proud I am of you. You have grown into an extraordinary person who cares so much about the world around her. I am so lucky to have you light up my life. I love you, Ava!! 💖💘💓 @avaphillippe #thisis22,” Witherspoon captions the photo.

Ava Phillippe stuns with glossy, blonde hair, a winning smile and a shimmery gold backdrop. She’s truly the picture of her mom. And Phillippe seems just as confident and smart.

Reese Witherspoon’s Accomplished Career

Though she initially played roles accustomed to teen dramas (because she was a teen), Reese Witherspoon transitioned into a versatile actress and producer. Of course, we all love her performances in “Election” and “Legally Blonde”. Witherspoon also won our hearts with “Sweet Home Alabama” where she drew on her southern roots for the role. However, the actress went on to take on serious dramatic roles.

One of Witherspoon’s most notable is for her performance as June Carter in the Oscar-winning film “Walk the Line.” Reese proved her chops as an actress and took home the Academy Award for Best Actress.

The 2004 biopic film follows the life of Johnny Cash and his rise to stardom, struggles with drug use and his obsession with fellow country star, June Carter. Witherspoon captivated audiences with her performances and earned the hardware to back it.

She drew inspiration from her grandmother in preparation.

“My grandmother taught me to have strength and self-respect and to never give those qualities away. And those were a lot of qualities that I saw in June Carter,” she said.

The actress’s portrayal of June Carter was set in mirroring her strength and grace, Witherspoon added.

During her acceptance speech for the Oscar, Witherspoon said June was “a real woman, who had dignity, and honor and fear and courage and she’s a real woman.”

Several years later, Witherspoon is still on a role. From her own production company, book club and continuous movie hits, she has no plans for slowing down.
