Robert Plant and Alison Krauss Hitting Road Together for 2022 Tour

Robert Plant and Alison Krauss certainly make for an odd musical act. He’s a rock legend. She’s a bluegrass star. But when they join forces, they make beautiful music together.

If you listened to their 2007 album, “Raising Sand,” you will know how wonderfully their voices and styles combined to make a truly amazing collection of songs. Luckily for music fans everywhere, the famous duo plans to take their show on the road. They are doing so to showcase their latest collaboration, “Raising the Roof,” according to The Boot. The new album is now available.

Robert Plant and Alison Krauss haven’t toured together since 2008. Their upcoming tour will begin on June 1, 2022. Their first stop will be in Canandaigua, New York. The final stop will be in Berlin, Germany, on July 20. But there are many stops in between.

The United States segment of their tour will include stops in such places as Forest Hills, New York; Chicago, Illinois; Indianapolis, Indiana; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Cary, North Carolina; and Atlanta, Georgia.

European stops on the 2022 tour also include Hamar, Norway; Rättvik, Sweden; Lucca, Italy; and Sopot, Poland. Check out their website for more information.

If you want to see one of the tour stops by Robert Plant and Alison Krauss, you should mark your calendars for Dec. 3. It is on that day that tickets for their tour will become available. There will also be pre-sales that will begin on Nov. 29. European fans will see pre-sales begin on Nov. 24. Other tickets will go on sale on Nov. 26.

Before the tour starts, the famous duo will also perform songs from “Raising the Roof” on “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert,” “CBS Morning,” and NPR.

Robert Plant and Alison Krauss Scored an Award-Winning Hit with ‘Raising Sand’ Album

“Raising Sand” was praised by critics when it was released in 2007. For example, it was described in the Boston Globe as “the stuff of which music lovers’ dreams are made: an unexpected collision of two distinct but complementary worlds that transcend the sum of their parts to create something unique and mesmerizing.”

“Instead of seesawing between any expectations created by their previous output, both artists happily play in the sonic landscapes of famed producer T Bone Burnett,” the review also said.

“Raising Sand” won several Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year. It also achieved platinum status.

Chances are that the new album by Robert Plant and Alison Krauss will be well received by fans and critics alike. T Bone Burnett is also the producer on “Raising the Roof.”

The new album is also received positive reviews. Variety’s review, for example, said that the album’s songs “are gifted with unearthly atmospheres, and more than a hint of premonition to go with the joy of reunion.”
