Sharon Osbourne’s Daughter Kelly Reveals She Relapsed After Being Nearly 4 Years Sober in Moving Message

by Madison Miller

Kelly Osbourne, the daughter of Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne, has been sober for nearly four years.

In the past, she had been in rehab several times in order to help get past her addictions. Osbourne has been clear over the years that sobriety is a journey and it’s not a perfect one. Relapses are a common part of eventually becoming completely sober.

Kelly Osbourne and Her Sobriety Journey

In a recent Instagram video, Kelly Osbourne opened up about a recent relapse. She has always let her followers in on her personal life, rehab, and recovery.

“This is a little hard for me to talk about, but I’ve always promised you that I will always be honest with you about where I’m at and what’s going on in my road to recovery. I relapsed. Not proud of it. But I am back on track,” Osbourne said.

She did not give any additional details regarding the relapse. However, she did say that she would give more specific information in an upcoming podcast. She is the co-host of “The Kelly Osbourne and Jeff Beacher Show” podcast. Although she did not mention if it would be on her own podcast.

“I just want to let you know that I am sober today. And I’m going to be sober tomorrow. But I’ve learned it truly is just one day at a time. And I just want to tell you guys the truth because I never, ever want to lie to you. Thank you so much for your support and your love,” Osbourne continued.

Osbourne Has Been Open About Addiction

Kelly Osbourne is a positive and realistic voice in the world of addiction and sobriety. She has been on her journey toward sobriety since 2017.

According to Popculture, Osbourne has said that 2020 was both “gut-wrenchingly difficult” and “incredibly educational.”

“I have come to the realization that I constantly put the needs of others before my own. I allow myself to be put in situations that make me feel uncomfortable for fear of upsetting someone else. Not forgetting the amount of times I co-sign the bulls–t of others. With almost 2 1/2 years of sobriety under my belt I still struggle with confrontation (which was NEVER a problem when I was using) … stop taking on other people’s s— and be the bada– sober woman I was born to be,” Kelly Osbourne said.

Addiction can run in the family. Her father, Ozzy Osbourne, has also always struggled with addiction during his life. In her book “There is No F–king Secret: Letters From a Bada– B—h,” Osbourne talks about her rehab stays and being in a mental hospital twice. She has been struggling with addiction and depression since she was a teenager. She said that therapy and healthy relationships have kept her on the right path.
