Sharon Osbourne has had a dramatic year. But that’s not stopping her from celebrating her 69th birthday with family and fans.

2021 didn’t go exactly how Sharon Osbourne planned. On March 10th, she found herself out of a job after defending her Britain’s Got Talent co-star Piers Morgan on The Talk. Comments Morgan made about Meghan Markle led to a heated debate with Sheryl Underwood. And in the end, the show gave Osbourne the boot after being a host for 11 years.

Osbourne has since said she’s a victim of “cancel culture.” And she has gone through both talk and ketamine therapy to help cope with the resulting depression.

But now, Osbourne is on the other side of the ordeal. And she appears to be feeling good as she heads into her 69th year.

And she took to Twitter today to send a word of thanks to her loyal fans on her birthday.

“Thank you for all the lovely birthday wishes!” she captioned alongside a picture of her and a birthday cake. “It means so much to me. This year has been filled with challenges and changes, some of it uncharted territory and some of it what comes along with the ride. All of it valuable. Thank you for all the love.”

Sharon Osbourne Has Lunch with Piers Morgan

It’s been seven months since Sharon Osbourne made headlines after a brutal argument on The Talk. The host had an exchange of words with co-host Sheryl Underwood about Piers Morgan. And in the end, CBS fired Osbourne from her long-standing job.

The event made Osbourne re-think having a career on television. In an interview with The Daily Mail, she said she won’t be returning to the small screen. At least for now.

“Right now, (television is) not a safe place to be,” she said. “Because the slightest thing — the slightest word — and you’ve pissed off half the nation. I don’t want to put myself up for that grief. I really don’t.”

After the incident, Osbourne became entangled in a mess of celebrity drama. And she disappeared from the public eye for a short time. But now she’s back, and she’s sassy as ever.

Yesterday, she met with her friend Piers Morgan ahead of her 69th birthday. While having lunch, she jumped on Instagram to post a picture with Morgan. And she added some classic Sharon Osbourne snark in the caption

“The naughty corner…lovely time out with my dear friend @piersmorgan.”
