In the adorable post, Sharon shares a clip of a “treasured” 1991 interview with Joan Rivers, which features Ozzy and the couple’s children, Aimee, Kelly, and Jack Osbourne. “Happy Father’s Day! To the best Father! We love you, Ozzy! #joanrivers for this treasure of an interview.”
Fans of Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne shared enthusiasm for the post by commenting, “This interview is LEGENDARY!” as well as “Happy Father’s Day to a true legend in so many ways!” and “He really is a great dad. Happy Father’s Day, Ozzy.”
Sharon Osbourne’s Marriage to Rock Legend Ozzy
Sharon Osbourne met the former Black Sabbath vocalist Ozzy Osbourne in the early 1970s. The duo were married in Hawaii on July 4, 1982, and went on to have three children while Ozzy continued his unstoppable singing career. The family had a reality TV series The Osbournes which featured the couple along with Kelly and Jack. The show aired from 2002 to 2005.
Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne have had some ups and downs throughout the years, including Ozzy’s struggle with alcohol and infidelity. The couple briefly split in May 2016 when stories about Ozzy’s infidelity surfaced. Sharon and Ozzy eventually reconciled in September 2016. Ozzy expresses regret in a recent interview with British GQ about his past indiscretions.
“I’ve done some pretty outrageous things in my life,” Osbourne explains in the interview. “I regret cheating on my wife [and] I don’t do it anymore. I got my reality check and I’m lucky she didn’t leave me. I’m not proud of that. I was pi—ed off with myself. But I broke her heart.”
Sharon Osbourne also has discussed what actually made her fall back in love with Ozzy after their initial split. “Thirty-five years with someone is a hell of a long time,” she says. “And I think I feel out of love with my husband and then fell back again. Probably, really, just months ago because he was trying so hard to be a better person – desperately trying, working his program, working with his therapist every day and trying so hard.”
Sharon then adds, “I just had a newfound love and I respect him because he’s seriously trying to be a better person.”
