Fleetwood Mac’s Stevie Nicks says she would leave the United States – and potentially the entire planet – if President Donald Trump wins re-election.

In a recent interview with Variety magazine, the American singer and songwriter claims that she doesn’t want to live in a country that is so divided.

“I don’t want to live in a country that is so divisive,” she said. “If this starts over and there’s another four years of this, then I’m going – but we’re not welcome anywhere.”

The Fleetwood Mac Rockstar says that going to space may be her best option. She adds that she might get in touch with Elon Musk, founder, CEO, CTO and chief designer of SpaceX, to carry out her plans. Those plans include taking her and 50 other people to another planet to live out the next four years of the Trump presidency.

“Maybe I can talk Elon Musk into giving us a jet and letting me pick 50 people, and we’re like the arc,” Nicks said. Then someone can take us and let us live on another planet until the next four years are over.”

Furthermore, the acclaimed singer spoke at length during her interview about her distaste for the current state of America.

She claimed that racism in America is worse that it has ever been in the last four years during President Trump’s tenure. She also says that if the President’s Supreme Court Nominee Amy Coney Barrett sees confirmation to the U.S. Supreme Court, then Roe v Wade would be in serious jeopardy.

Twitter reacts

The singer’s interview drew a number of different responses on Twitter. Some people were supportive, some were critical, and some even made claims that Nicks is a witch.

“YOU CAN’T LISTEN TTO @StevieNicks/Fleetwood Mac and be a trump supporter.. it doesn’t work like that,” one user tweeted.

“Couldn’t agree more. Stevie Nicks is a national treasure and Donald Trump is a national disgrace.”

“So now we have Tommy Lee, Bruce Springsteen and Stevie Nicks all promising to leave the country if Trump wins re-election. All we need now is a bass player and we can deport an entire band of wealthy malcontents.”

Another user on Twitter even claimed that Stevie Nicks might be a witch.

Nicks made sure to emphasize in the interview that her new song, “Show Them the Way,” is non-partisan. It’s her hope that the new song is a “moment of peace for everyone.” The song features civil rights marches, Black Lives Matter protests, and also pays respects to the late Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
