Despite losing her longtime Storage Wars partner, Brandi Passante is still bidding on the reality series. And the star is finding a new friendship with a fellow castmate.
Brandi Passante and Jarrod Schulz are officially over. The couple, who share two children together, split back in 2018. However, they managed to keep the breakup under wraps. For two years, they continued working as a pair on A&E’s Storage Wars, and fans believed the two were still together. Then in 2020, the stars announced their breakup when Jarrod shared a new relationship with his social media followers.
At first, Passante and Schultz remained committed to co-parenting and running their separate business. But after allegations of domestic abuse made headlines over the summer, their waning partnership ended for good. When season 14 of Storage Wars debuted last month, Brandi Passante joined the cast as a solo act. And Jarrod Schultz was nowhere to be seen.
With Schultz out of the picture, Passante is making new friends on the set of her reality series. She’s grown particularly close to Kenny Crossley, who also bids alone. And the two have been helping each other out—a lot. But while it looks like the castmates are joining forces and moving towards a partnership, they’re not.
Brandi Passante and Kenny Crossley are nothing more than good friends who have each other’s best interests at heart. Passante has an eye for hidden treasures, and Crossley doesn’t mind helping his friend with her heavy lifting.
According to Passante, she and Crossley talk nearly every day. He’ll text and ask, “how are you doing, homegirl? Are you alright? You doing okay? You gonna make me something to eat soon?”
So for now, it looks like Passante and Crossley will continue bidding along. But who knows what future seasons of Storage Wars could bring.
‘Storage Wars’ Stars Jarrod Schulz and Brandi Passante Secretly Split Two Years Ago
During the 13th season opener of Storage Wars, Brandi Passante and Jarrod Schultz announced that they ended their relationship. And according to PEOPLE, they had been hiding the split for two years.
On Tuesday, April 20th, Brandi Passante told the camera that she was no longer romantically involved with her long-time boyfriend, Jarrod Schultz. And shortly after, fans also learned that the couple had never been married, despite common assumptions.
But the two bidders planned to remain on Storage Wars, just not as a team.
“Just because me and Brandi aren’t together anymore, doesn’t mean we can’t go to an auction — but separately,” Jarrod Schulz said.
However, the season was no smooth sailing for the exes. During the episodes, their popular banter turned into full-on emotional warfare. Passante would make comments about Schultz being “an idiot” after making high bids on the series. And Schulz made it a point to bid against her every time she wanted a unit.
“You know,” Schultz said during episode one, “If Brandi bids on it, I’ll probably bid.”
