Known for their playful bickering on Storage Wars when looking over lockers, Brandi Passante and Jarrod Schulz are no longer together. Nevertheless, the story of them meeting is one worth hearing.

In an interview with The Philippine Daily Inquirer a few years ago, the couple disclosed how they met while playfully teasing one another. When asked if it was love at first sight, Brandi replied “That was a process. He wore me down.” In a later interview with The Myster Men Show, she went into more detail saying “Jarrod followed me around like a puppy dog.”

Their first meeting happened way back in 1999 when they both worked at the same carpet-cleaning business. Naturally, the two have slightly different recollections of what happened. “I was Brandi’s boss. My boss hired her, and then she pretty much stalked me after that,” Schulz said. He knew pursuing a relationship with a subordinate wasn’t a good idea and apparently, people had to remind him to behave himself.

“A mutual friend put notes on my truck, reminding me to be nice to Brandi because I could be abrasive,” he informed the Inquirer. He also said he had to be charming because he certainly couldn’t go by his physical appearance. “Obviously, I don’t get by on my looks! So I gotta be witty. I have to do things to compensate.”

Though Shulz claims she was “chasing me down all the time,” Passante shrugs off the claim and retorts he “relentlessly hit on her.” Shad adds she found the behavior “embarrassing.”

Despite the two having chemistry, they aren’t together anymore. Brandi cited mostly raising the kids alone as a big reason, plus Schulz was later accused of domestic violence.

Why is Jarrod Schulz Facing Domestic Violence Charges?

Not an allegation to take lightly, Jarrod Schulz was charged with domestic violence charges after an incident with Brandi Passante. Orange County officials charged Schulz when Passante accused him of pushing her.

TMZ discussed the incident, saying Brandi visited a bar on April 30 with her friends when Schultz arrived. The couple apparently began arguing, with it culminating in Jarrod yelling and leaving. In the midst of the argument, Jarrod reportedly pushed her two different times. He left before the police arrived, yet claimed a few days later he didn’t lay a hand on her.

The Orange County district attorney charged Schulz with one count of misdemeanor domestic violence battery. TMZ also reports Schulz’s attorney, Benjamin Arsenian, wants the case dismissed. Not only is he denying Schulz pushed her, he says no contact was made whatsoever. Arsenian also mentioned Jarrod not taking any offered plea deals unless it ends up with the case being completely dismissed.

As of now, the charges still stand.
