Lake Havasu police have arrested a suspect in the shooting of “Storage Wars” star Dan Dotson’s son Garrett, TMZ reported.

Police took the suspect, 21-year-old Garret Wilder, into custody without incident on Tuesday in Arizona. They charged Wilder with two counts of aggravated assault, drive-by shooting, misconduct involving weapons, disorderly conduct with a weapon and endangerment. The cops found a handgun with one spent shell casing at the home where they arrested Wilder.

Early Sunday morning, Wilder got into an argument with Garrett Dotson in Dotson’s car, police told TMZ. Wilder allegedly fired his pistol and hit Dotson in the abdomen.

An emergency airlift got Dotson safely to a Las Vegas hospital for emergency surgery. The bullet hit a main blood vessel to his heart and fractured his spine. When he emerged from surgery, Dotson managed to move his foot. By Sunday night, he was out of the ICU and off the ventilator.

There was some confusion about the sequence of events that led to Dotson’s shooting. His mother Laura told the New York Daily News that Dotson was visiting a date and was then hit by gunfire at about 3:15 a.m. near the Airbnb where he was staying.

Dotson was able to call 911 on his own. But local doctors quickly realized they’d have to take him to a trauma center. The doctor who treated him in Lake Havasu rode with him to Las Vegas, massaging Dotson’s heart to keep him alive.

Dan and Laura Dotson own American Auctioneers, an auction company located in Riverside, California. They became famous for their roles on A&E’s reality TV show “Storage Wars.” The couple have appeared on the show since its first season aired in 2010, according to the Daily Mail.
