‘Storage Wars’ Star Jarrod Schulz Reportedly Wants Domestic Violence Case Dismissed, His Lawyer Speaks Out

by Samantha Whidden

Just a little over a month after Orange County officials charged Storage Wars star Jarrod Schulz with domestic violence against ex and co-star Brandi Passante, the reality TV actor is now seeking to get the case dismissed.

According to TMZ, Jarrod Schulz’s attorney, Benjamin Arsenian, says that Jarrod is denying that he pushed Brandi. He denies making any contact with Passante in general, despite the prosecutors’ claims.

Arsenian further explains that Jarrod Schulz is planning to not take any plea deals unless they result in completely dismissing the case.

Jarrod and Brandi Revealed to Have Split More Than Two Years Ago

Earlier this spring, Brandi Passante and Jarrod Schulz reported they not only broke up but have not been together for more than two years. Passante shares at the beginning of Storage Wars’ season 13 premiere, “I’m not with Jarrod anymore.”

In a separate interview, Schulz says, “Just because me and Brandi aren’t together anymore doesn’t mean we can’t go to an auction – but separately.”

The couple, who also had a short-lived spin-off of Storage Wars called Brandi & Jarrod: Married to the Job, was also seen in the episode taking jabs at one another, with Passante referring to Schulz as an idiot for spending $400 on a storage unit.

When Brandi’s friend, Mary Padian, bids on another unit on her behalf, Jarrod decided to outbid. He says, “You know, if Brandi bids on it, I’ll probably bid.” So, the duo doesn’t seem to be on good terms post break up. The show’s producers are taking advantage of the break-up by pitting them as rivals.

Brandi also recently discusses the breakup and life as a single mother with Danny Jordan of The Dad Diary. “I did a lot of it on my own anyway,” Passante says while sharing her single mom tasks. “But it’s the scary dad voice in the background that we’re missing. I have [the kids] all the time, 24/7 they’re here with me, so I have to navigate that.”

Brandi and Jarrod have two children, daughter Payton, and son Cameron. Schulz recently announced he has moved on from his relationship with Passante and is now dating.

Jarrod Schulz Accused of Domestic Violence

Brandi is accusing Jarrod Schulz of pushing her. At the time of the incident, Passante didn’t seek any medical attention. There were also no visible marks on Brandi from the alleged altercation between the exes.

Sources reveal there are conflicting accounts of what actually went down between the former couple. One witness is claiming that Jarrod didn’t push Brandi. Instead, he gave her a shoulder bump. Another witness recalls Jarrod sitting on a barstool during the situation.

Prosecutors on the case have not presented a plead deal. The case’s trial is July 12th.
