This week on SWAT is going to pack a punch according to star Shemar Moore. A new gritty photo shows a behind-the-scenes look at things.

SWAT is known for bringing intense action. The nature of the job is dangerous, and it looks like that is the case again in this sneak peek. The gear, the lighting, the setting, all look the part. Moore and his costar Alex Russell look deep in focus. Check out the shots below.

The set of four photos shows Moore up against a wall as the photographer he tagged in the post takes a photo. He is decked out in all of his gear and looks like a force to be reckoned with. Looking at the photos, it looks like they are in a community college. One of the photos shows Hondo and Jim in front of a trophy case filled with California Community College trophies.

The shot is being set up on the screen as well as off it. As Hondo looks ready to attack up against that wall, the camera guy gets that sick up-close shot. It likely turned out well, hopefully, fans will get to see that in the future.

Fans are so excited about the show. While season 5 continues, Hondo is going to have to come to terms with his leadership role. Shemar Moore has thoughts on what the word, “leadership” means to him.

‘SWAT’ Star Shemar Moore on ‘Leadership’

When it comes to leadership, Shemar Moore knows what it means to him. That goes for his on-screen performances as well as his off-screen life. On SWAT, his character Hondo is learning how to be a leader, without being THE leader. It is a dynamic that the character has not taken lightly.

When the 51-year-old actor talked about that change and what leadership looks like, he had insightful answers.

“So, here I find myself, like wait – I’m used to being the guy. I’m used to being the guy in control. Uh, and you know what, I don’t have an ego like that – like wait … they hired another actor to do my job,” the SWAT star explained. “As long as it’s good for the show and it’s good for the story, and you know, it’s interesting conflict.”

Rodrigo Sanchez is the new man in charge. David DeSantos plays the new leader on the show. As far as any bad blood, there is none between the actors. Moore says that DeSantos is wonderful to work with. The new dynamic should bring a bit of spice and intrigue to the show. Also, if the intrateam conflict is good, that’s just a bonus for fans.
