While taking a little break from the set of his S.W.A.T, Shemar Moore took to his Instagram on Tuesday (August 10th) with a snapshot of him preparing for a storm.

“Quiet before the Beautiful Storm.. it’s coming.. I can see it n feel it!!!” The S.W.A.T star pens in the post, which shows him lounging on a couch.

The S.W.A.T castmate further states that he is going to dance his butt off in the rain. Moore, who plays the lead role of Sergeant Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson,  is currently preparing for the fifth season premiere of his hit series, which is scheduled for October 1st.

Shemar Moore Reveals How S.W.A.T. Will Address Social Unrests & Black Lives Matter

In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Shemar Moore reveals how S.W.A.T will be addressing several political issues, including social unrest and the Black Lives Matter movement. “It was always a no-brainer for us to have to respond to [the unrest],” Moore states. “Mainly because we had the advantage of our show being about community relations and always to improve it.”

Moore further reveals that S.W.A.T allows the cast to delve even deeper into a lot of things that the show explored in previous seasons. “We felt a responsibility to not only entertain, but also to be a part of the conversation in a positive way. There is an element of influence that we hold.”

Moore Discusses His Character in ‘S.W.A.T’

Moore also spoke about being on S.W.A.T and what it means to him. “It’s fun to be on an exciting, kick-a— cop show. I’m the lead actor read I’m proud to have achieved that. But I’m also a producer on the show,” he explains. Shemar says it’s important to him that he and the cast/crew also come with quality content that has integrity without getting too heavy-handed or preachy. “I felt that there was an opportunity and a large responsibility to stay, as they say, woke.”

“I don’t know that we’ve ever seen what a woke cop looks like,” Moore admits. “Growing up as an African American kid, I don’t know what I could name any woke cop that [I] ever saw.”

The S.W.A.T star continues he doesn’t know if he’s ever seen a cop who was necessarily aware of some of the elements that everyone is now starting to deal with in the TV realm. “So we are entering a new phase where even the idea of a cop being near woke might be a whole new element.”

That while the show wants to address the tough subjects, he knows that no one wants to be preached to. “We’re always asking ourselves, how can we present a meal that is delicious to eat but also has nutrition in it? We want it to be entertaining.”
