Hondo still seems to be struggling over his demotion, adjusting to having a new squad leader. Rodrigo Sanchez and Hondo already butt heads last week, when both of them tried to issue orders on a dangerous mission. But when Sanchez caught the bad guy in the end, he established himself as the real alpha male of the SWAT team.
Tonight’s new episode promises to be just as action-packed. Moore’s posted a couple of promo photos from the episode on his Instagram page earlier, teasing fans with what’s to come. In one photo, we see an intense look on Hondo’s face as he grasps the chin of a handcuffed perp. From the background, they seem to be at a carwash.
“Overcharged ya boy for his car wash 😡 … NOT TODAY PLAYBOY !!! 😜😂 …. ALL-NEW SWAT FRIDAY 8/7c,” the “SWAT” star captioned the post.
In the second pic of the post, Hondo lets the guy go, and he slumps to the ground. It wouldn’t surprise us if Sanchez was barking orders for Hondo to drop the guy, based on the look on Hondo’s face.
The official “SWAT” Twitter page also keeps hyping up the conflict between Hondo and Sanchez. They posted a clip from tonight’s episode, with Hondo talking to his teammates about Sanchez keeping secrets. The team suspects he’s hiding something about his return to the LAPD, and they want to know what.
“20 squad will have your back,” a team member says at one point in the clip. Hondo said he’s still figuring out how to “handle” Sanchez, and it sounds like the SWAT team will be on board with whatever he has planned.
‘SWAT’ Star Shemar Moore Reveals How He Keeps in Shape for the Show
“SWAT” star Shemar Moore recently spoke with Men’s Health about how he keeps in such good shape for the show. For starters, he doesn’t try to bulk up like a weight lifter or football player but channels a different sort of look.
“I’m looking to be a soccer player mixed with a boxer,” Moore explained. “That’s what looks best on TV. That’s what makes me feel good in life.”
In terms of workouts, the “SWAT” star aims to balance out cardio and weight lifting. But the key to staying in shape for Moore doesn’t happen while working out.
“Don’t get it twisted. Whatever you do in the gym, I don’t care how far you run or how heavy you lift, getting lean and mean starts in the kitchen with your diet,” Moore said.
Working out a ton but eating poorly won’t always get you the result you’re looking for. “You might get a little stronger,” Moore said. “But you’re not going to be prettier.”
