Tawny Kitaen‘s brother Jordan opened up about his sister’s death. While an official cause of death is unknown, Jordan has his own thoughts. He believed that the actor died of a broken heart.
According to TMZ, Jordan opened up about the past few weeks leading to Kitaen’s death. He said that the actor had been distraught over the recent death of her father. Tawny’s father passed away recently on April 12. He had battled skin cancer for some time before succumbing to the illness. Jordan believes that her father’s death was too much for Kitaen to handle.
The family was still in the middle of planning the funeral when Kitaen passed away. He said that the two had always had an “uncanny connection” to each other. So Jordan believed Kitaen took the death hard. Jordan said he spoke with police regarding his sister’s death. They said they didn’t find any drugs or alcohol on the scene nor signs that the actor committed suicide.
Jordan said he last spoke with his sister on the night before she died. The actor had looked forward to celebrating Mother’s Day with her children.
Tawny Kitaen’s Daughters Mourn Her Loss
Tawny Kitaen’s took the time to publicly mourn their mother after her passing. The two are taking it hard after her death. Kitaen married professional baseball player Chuck Finely in 1997. They divorced after a few years but had two daughters Wynter and Raine together.
Both Wynter and Raine took over their mother’s official Instagram account to share a tribute to her legacy.
On Instagram, Kitaen’s daughters wrote, “We are heartbroken and saddened to announce the death of our mom. We just want to say thank you for all of you, her fans and her friends, for always showing her such support and love. You gave her life every day. We miss her and love her and we know her legacy will live on forever.”
Tawny Kitaen passed away on May 7th at her home in Newport Beach. The actor first rose to prominence in the 1980s for collaborating with bands like Whitesnake. She became a part of pop culture by starring in the band’s video for “Here I Go Again.”
Afterward, Kitaen transitioned into acting and later reality television. Her most well-known role as an actor was opposite a young Tom Hanks in the film “Bachelor’s Party.” Fans of her work in film and music mourned her death.
