Taylor Swift is swiftly on her way to re-recording her previous albums, and Swift fans are ecstatic.

Swift fans, or “Swifties,” are taking to social media to celebrate by posting ‘Taylor Is Free,” and the hashtag is trending quickly.

Fans of Swift are joyfully supporting the country-pop singer’s freedom to re-record her original first five albums beginning today.

Following the news, tweets are rolling in as excitement grows and encouragement flows from fans.

Taylor released a statement claiming Scooter Braun and Scott Borchetta prohibited her from using and performing her own songs off her past five records. Ever since then, the two men have been under fire by the “Swifties.”

Borchetta is the founder of Taylor’s previous music label Big Machine. He sold ownership of her first five records to Scooter Braun’s company as part of a $300 million deal.

One Twitter user is deleting albums Taylor Swift recorded with former label Big Machine, and will only stream Taylor’s new releases.

During Taylor’s appearance on Good Morning America, she confirmed her previous albums would be re-recorded starting at the beginning of November 2020. Luckily for fans, November 1st is here, and Swift is regaining her rights to her own music.

“Yeah that’s true,” replied Taylor when asked if she is re-recording all her original albums. “And it is something I am very excited about doing,” adds Taylor during her interview with Good Morning America. “My contract says that starting November 2020, so next year, I can record albums one through five all over again, and I’m very excited about it.”
