Ted Nugent Shares Thanksgiving Message From ‘Cops Who Remember Their Oath’

Ted Nugent is sharing a meme on Facebook from “cops who remember their oath” that clearly demonstrates how he feels this Thanksgiving.

The meme from Law Enforcement Today features this text: “Dear America. Enjoy your Thanksgiving dinner with your family and friends. We won’t be knocking on your door to arrest you. Unlike many politicians, we actually believe in the Constitution and America.”

He also shared a second meme that played off of previous Folgers Coffee commercials.

“The best part of waking up is Donald Trump is president,” it reads.

Nugent has been vocal in his opposition to politicians and health officials who have warned against Thanksgiving gatherings and travel. The rocker has said he believes its government overreach.

Many of his fans seem to agree.

“They think Biden is a God. All I want for Christmas is a bottle of 409 spray cleaner to clean my door. Can you ask Trump to find me a bottle,” one person commented.

“Im (sic) been a fan of yours since the early 70s. Thanks for the memories, you and your family have a safe and happy Thanksgiving. GOD BLESS AMERICA,” another person wrote.

States Ask Residents to Be Safe, Smart on Thanksgiving

Most state governors have asked residents to follow CDC guidelines and recommendations when celebrating this Thanksgiving. That includes holding activities outdoors whenever possible, wearing masks when not eating or drinking, and social distancing among other suggestions.

Several states had considered banning Thanksgiving travel. None did, but Washington did ban large indoor gatherings for the holiday. Pennsylvania banned alcohol sales Thanksgiving night, Fox News reported.

It’s unclear, however, if any of these measures are being enforced by police. Those who break those rules could likely receive a fine.

America continues to break records daily in the number of COVID-19 hospitalizations and deaths from the virus, The Atlantic said. More than 262,000 Americans have died from the virus since the pandemic began, Johns Hopkins University reports. Nearly 13 million in the country have contracted it. The U.S. reportedly leads the world in both categories.
