After leaving the show, Knight eventually would become a businessman. He would find a spot to work in the technology world.

‘The Brady Bunch’ Star Would Find New Success Working In Technology Sector

In a 2008 interview with PopEntertainment.com, “The Brady Bunch” star talked about taking his life in this direction.

Knight said he was naturally led to look at science.

“I always wanted to see myself in a lab coat with a Bunsen burner and being a chemist or a physicist, in that arena,” he said. “As it turned out, a good deal of my friends from high school became physicists and engineers. They drifted into the aerospace industry that was here in Southern California and then a number of them thereafter drifted into the computer industry.”

Knight said around that time, he was looking for another career path. He said that he approahed some of his friends about working.

“I got a job as a rep in the computer industry selling peripherals,” Knight said. “It was a great learning experience and I became an expert on the video side of things. I took to it like a duck to water. It sort of was a passion of mine. I mean, I’m sort of a geek, really.”

He worked for Visual Software while being a founder of two companies, Eskape Labs and Kidwise Learningware.

But some of you Outsiders watch “The Brady Bunch” reruns quite frequently.

We bet you want to know if Knight has any thoughts about the show. Well, he does and his first opinion might surprise some of you.

“The Bradys weren’t cool,” he said in the Pop Entertainment story. “If there was any cool factor to them, they would have disappeared after they left the airwaves. It’s because what we were doing was timeless.”

Knight said when the show originally ran between 1969-74, it was not appreciated as much as it has been over the years.
