One star actor from The Brady Bunch once opened up about which co-star was his best friend on the set of the popular show.
All fans of classic television likely remember Christopher Knight. Knight is without a doubt best known for playing the role of Peter Brady on The Brady Bunch. He also maintained his role as Peter in the ABC variety series, The Brady Bunch Hour, and in two later TV movies, The Brady Girls Get Married, and A Very Brady Christmas. Further, he reprised the role in the 1990 series, The Bradys.
Christopher Knight was cast as the middle son of the Bradys in the 1970s sitcom before going on to make appearances in other shows on television. But he was just 11 years old at the time when he landed his breakthrough role. And he told Kara Mayer Robinson in a 2019 sit-down on the Really Famous podcast that he did have a best friend on set with him.
“So when you were filming ‘The Brady Bunch’ way back then, who was maybe your best friend at the time?” Robinson asks Knight.
“Umm, Michael — Michael Lookinland. We palled around like Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn,” Knight recalled. “We were just little kids in a crazy place to explore.”
Michael Lookinland, of course, appeared in the show as the youngest brother, Bobby Brady.

‘The Brady Bunch’ Peter Brady Actor Revealed One Line Fans Always Want to Hear
There is no question that The Brady Bunch produced some famous quotes and scenes from its time on the air during the 1970s. The man who played Peter Brady, still remembers the line that all of his fans want him to say.
That line? According to Christopher Knight, it was “Pork chops and apple sauce.”
“I’m asked to say it once a month or twice a month,” Knight admitted. “As I’ve gotten older, I think it’s become a little less comfortable for individuals to ask a 60-year-old man to say, ‘Pork chops and apple sauce.’ But when I was younger, it would be requested of me quite frequently.”
But the fans want what the fans want. Knight added,
“You’ve got people in Australia who are tickled in the same way that it’s tickled somebody in Omaha, Nebraska.”
