“The Conners” reportedly experienced a death on-set while filming. One of the crew members passed away while filming the hit sitcom.

According to Deadline, a crew member experienced an undisclosed medical emergency during one of the latest tapings. The crew member passed away on the set as a result. Responding emergency officials were unable to resuscitate the man.

In a statement, Tom Werner’s Werner Entertainment, the production company behind “The Conners,” commented on the death. They offered their condolences to the man’s family and loved one. The late crewmember had been apart of the crew, dating back to “Roseanne” in the 1990s.

“With heavy hearts, we regret to confirm that a member of our technical crew suffered a fatal medical event today,” it wrote in a statement to Deadline. “He was a much-loved member of The Conners and Roseanne families for over 25 years. As we remember our beloved colleague, we ask that you respect the privacy of his family and loved ones as they begin their grieving process.”

‘The Conners’ Crew Member Fell Ill

According to TMZ, the man was reportedly in his 50s or 60s. The incident occurred on the final day of filming for the sitcom on Thursday (March 18). The show was in the middle of wrapping up its third season. The crew member had been on the catwalk at Stage 22 at the CBS Studio Center.

The man suddenly fell ill from a medical emergency. The show’s production called nearby studio paramedics to assist the man. But the paramedics couldn’t help the crew member. They pronounced him dead at the scene. So far, officials haven’t announced the crew member’s identity or cause of death.

“The Conners” follows the cast of “Roseanne,” several decades later. That original show aired in the 1980s and 1990s for nine seasons.

The show was picked up as a spin-off from a “Roseanne” revival in 2018. The show had returned for a much belated Season 10. But afterward, the network let led-actor Roseanne Barr go after a series of tweets garnered controversy. As a result, the show was then restructured to focus on the surviving Conners clan after the death of their matriarch. So far, the show has been successful both critically and commercially.
