After Sharon Osbourne made her exit from “The Talk,” after getting into an argument with Sheryl Underwood, Underwood is speaking out. While Osbourne hasn’t made an appearance on “The Talk” since Mar. 10, there’s been confusion about when Underwood and Osbourne last spoke since the spat.
On Monday, when the show reconvened since their hiatus, Underwood cleared the air. Osbourne’s former co-hosts, Underwood, Carrie Ann Inaba, Amanda Kloots, and Elaine Welteroth said they were looking to move on. The show made headlines after Osbourne lost her cool while defending Piers Morgan’s criticism of Meghan Markle.
Recently, Underwood brought up Sharon Osbourne during her podcast, saying that she had not spoken to the British TV personality. She also added that her former co-host had not called her. As a result, Osbourne fired back by releasing a slew of screenshots of text messages she had sent Underwood.
“I want to clear something up. There was a discussion about Sharon and I communicating with each other,” Underwood said on “The Talk” on Monday. “I have not spoken to [her], and do not have any phone call, missed or received, that I can find in my phone.”

However, she did acknowledge that there were text messages sent to her by Osbourne. Yet, she didn’t “speak about or acknowledge those text messages” because she didn’t know if she could respond to her during CBS’ investigation.
Underwood also revealed that during the confrontation with Osbourne, Underwood said she had been cautious not to “escalate things” since she “didn’t want to be perceived as the angry Black woman. I wanted to remain calm and remain focused. It’s difficult to go back to that day because I just feel the trauma.”
Later, Welteroth added, “When you go back and watch what happened in that episode, you will see two Black women walking the same tightrope that Black women are walking every single day in the workplace. We knew that we had to stay composed in that situation, even in the face of someone who was A, not listening, and B, who went off the rails into disrespect.”
Underwood later revealed what she would do if she ran into Osbourne. She said it would depend on Sharon Osbourne’s behavior.
“If she greeted me warmly and sincerely, I would give her back the same, because we’ve been on this show for 10 years. I want people to understand when you’re friends with somebody you stay friends. And what did Maya Angelou say? When people show you who they are, believe them.”
