‘The Talk’: Sharon Osbourne Receives Sweet Instagram Shoutout From Former Co-Host Carrie Ann Inaba

by Matthew Wilson

Sharon Osbourne may be at odds with some of her former co-hosts after leaving “The Talk.”

But she received a sweet message from former co-host Carrie Ann Inaba. On an Instagram story, Inaba tagged Osbourne and said she was thinking of the TV personality. Inaba’s message came in response to a bouquet of flowers that Osbourne sent her. Recently, Inaba had been off “The Talk” due to health problems in her personal life. She recently returned after the health-scare.

During that time, Osbourne sent Inaba some flowers to let her know that she was thinking of her. Inaba then returned the favor with a social media shoutout. It’s one of the most positive interactions Osbourne has had with former co-hosts since leaving “The Talk.”

Osbourne left the talk show after defending Piers Morgan on the show. Morgan had criticized Meghan Markle in an interview, making remarks that some viewed as racist. During the episode, Osbourne got in an on-air argument with host Sheryl Underwood. After the argument, the show went on hiatus and Osbourne opted to leave amid an investigation into the incident.

Sheryl Underwood on Sharon Osbourne

At one point, Sheryl Underwood and Sharon Osbourne were friends. But their relationship appears to be splintered by the incident. In the latest episode of “The Talk,” Underwood discussed her point of view from the incident. She said the experience gave her post-traumatic stress disorder.

“I feel like I’ve been in, like, PTSD because it was a trauma,” Underwood said, “and I feel like I want to get past this because I really wanted to get back to work with my friends and my colleagues and the crew…but I also wanted to get back to the audience.”

Though Osbourne has texted her since the incident, Underwood chose not to respond to Osbourne. She said she hasn’t talked with Osbourne since the argument. So far, the incident has split “The Talk” fanbase into two camps.

“I want to be clear on this, I have not spoken to Sharon,” Underwood said. “I have not had a phone call from her… People have asked me, ‘Well, if you see Sharon, what would you do?’ First of all, if she greeted me warmly and sincerely, I would give her that in the same because we’ve been on the show together for 10 years.” However, borrowing a line from the late Maya Angelou, she added, “When people show you who they are, believe them.”
