‘The Voice’: Blake Shelton Pours His Heart Out About Gwen Stefani on Show, Fans Get Emotional

by Joe Rutland

Blake Shelton never minds one bit talking about his fiancee Gwen Stefani. He did so once again on a recent episode of NBC’s “The Voice.”

Shelton, who has been a coach on “The Voice” since it started in 2011, just let his own emotions around Stefani come out.

“People ask me all the time what’s the greatest thing to happen for you since you’ve been on ‘The Voice’,” Shelton said in an Instagram post from the show. “That’s a no-brainer. I met my fiancee here. It’s hard to resist Gwen Stefani. You know, here’s this iconic rock star coming to be a coach on ‘The Voice’ in a black minivan. That was cool to me.”

Fans of the show reacted to the post. One of them wrote, “Blake in my book you are the king of kings.” Another wrote, “I love you @blakeshelton and @gwenstefani you two are the cutest couple your a match made in heaven god bless you two with lots of love”.

Yet one more couldn’t resist sharing the emotions, too. “Blake is the best coach, he has all the elements, he doesn’t care what the other coaches say, he use it to make jokes about himself or about them. he has never got upset about the other coaches jokes” wrote the commenter.

‘The Voice’ Coach Will Be Entering Third Marriage When He, Stefani Tie Knot

The clip, part of an article from Good Housekeeping, also shows scenes where Shelton and Stefani interact beyond the show and on its stage, too. Stefani left her coaching gig on “The Voice” after last season.

Stefani, who was the lead singer of No Doubt, started her tour of duty on “The Voice” in 2014. Shelton and Stefani started seeing one another and, ultimately, it led to Shelton asking Stefani to marry him.

This will be the third marriage for Shelton. He was previously married to Kaynette Gem and then country music superstar Miranda Lambert. Shelton and Stefani have been a couple since 2015.

Of course, Shelton has been a dominant force in country music for two-plus decades. Stefani made her mark in the world of rock and pop music. Two different forces but they managed to work together and even earn an Association of Country Music Awards nomination.

Shelton Admits He’s in Awe of Being Able to Perform With Fiancee

During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, “The Voice” coach Shelton expresses his awe at the current musical success with Stefani.

“To be able to make records with her and have a couple of hit songs with her out on country radio,” he said, “and have that recognition with the ACMs, that somehow takes it to another level, not for me but for Gwen.”

Shelton adds that he thinks “it’s not something I think she ever thought was possible for her.”

“It’s strange enough that she and I are together to begin with; let’s be honest,” he said. “Now the fact that we’re making records together and now we’re nominated for an ACM award… It’s just unbelievable and I’m so happy about it.”
