Country music superstar Blake Shelton took to social media on Tuesday to share exciting news for his Voice team. Shelton is a judge on the ever-popular show “The Voice” and a member of his team did escape from elimination.
Team Blake member Ian Flanigan will now appear in the show’s finale after fans voted to instant save him. With the save, Flanigan is a part of the five singers vying to be the winner of this season. Flanigan also took to social media to thank fans for their support and putting him in the finale.
“Thank you America!” the singer says in the tweet. “It’s an honor to be representing #TeamBlake @NBCTheVoice.”
Going head to head with other show contestants, Flanigan earned the love of fans, allowing him to move forward. The singer, whose popularity grows with each episode, performs a wonderful rendition of the Travis Tritt song “Anymore.”
The 30-year-old singer from Saugerties, New York, is understandably overcome with joy as he hears his name called.
Shelton Matches Singer’s Excitement
As excited as Flanigan is, his coach, Blake Shelton, may match his level excitement for his spot in the finale. Like Flanigan, Shelton also took to social media to thanks fans for saving a member of his team.
“Hell yeah!” he starts out. “See y’all next week for the #VoiceFinale! #TeamBlake is well represent!”
Flanigan will join teammate an Jim Ranger in the finale to represent Shelton’s team.
It’s another positive in 2020 for Shelton who has a successful year. Along with The Voices success, he plans to wed fellow judge Gwen Stefani in 2021.
