‘The Voice’ Coach Ariana Grande Gives First Look of Unique Buzzer On-Set

Coming to “The Voice” for its 21st Season, Ariana Grande brings extra flair and personality to the show. “PEOPLE” shared a clip that gives a first look at having Grande on the set, including the unique buzzer she has for contestants.

Lasting almost two minutes, the clip highlights the personality Grande brings to the table. Of particular note is her buzzer. Appearing near the end of the video, her stylish “Thank U, Next” buzzer interrupts John Legend as he tries to recruit a contestant, while simultaneously causing the coaches to erupt into laughter.

The clip shows lighthearted moments from The Voice,”
but also highlights how competitive it can be. For instance, Legend noted concerns about having Grande around.

“Ariana is very talented. It’s going to be hard to convince someone to come to Team Legend, but I’m going to make my case.”

Blake Shelton talked about extending an “olive branch” to Grande since she’s new. “I’m proud of you,” he told her. Shelton said he’s happy to help “the kid” out, but also seems excited about the prospect of facing off against Grande.

“I’m excited about Ariana joining the show because it’s somebody new for me to beat,” he joked. “I’m tired of beating John every season — and Nick.”

After adding Nick was the easiest defeat of his career, Shelton said “I’m looking for a challenge. I think Ariana could be a challenge. I’m looking forward to beating her though.”

Kelly Clarkson seems both fond of Grande and what she adds to the show. “We’ve already taped everything up to the lives, and she’s hysterical. We’ve never had a coach like her.”

If the clip is anything to go by, “The Voice’s” premiere on September 20 promises to be entertaining.

‘The Voice’ Coach Blake Shelton States He Isn’t Afraid Of Ariana Grande Or Her Fanbase

Blake Shelton recently said he looks forward to the challenge Ariana Grande and her fanbase will bring, but this isn’t the first time he proclaimed it.

Back in May, Shelton, Legend, and Clarson discussed Grande on “The Kelly Clarkson Show.” Legend quickly stated he feared Grande, and Clarkson felt the same.

“I am, too. I’m terrified,” she said. “Somebody literally asked us in the interviews yesterday – when we were going together. And they said, ‘What do you think about Ariana?’ And, I said I think this my last chance to win. I was like, ‘That’s what I think.’”

However, Shelton remained unfazed. “I’m not afraid of her fanbase. Where they at?” Shelton said. “… Ariana fans, bring it on. I’m not afraid of Ariana. They pay me to win.”

Bold words then and now, but if John Legend and Kelly Clarkson aren’t feeling confident, Shelton may want to reevaluate his stance on Grande, as well as her fans.
