Tim Allen Fires Shots at Twitter Over ‘What We Are Allowed To Tweet’

Tim Allen is seemingly taking aim at Twitter over censorship of tweets. The Last Man Standing star took to social media on Tuesday to question the wildly popular platform.

“Wonder who decides what we are allowed to tweet,” the 64-year-old actor writes.

Tim Allen was met with a swift reaction on Twitter. While many took his side, others rushed to defend the platform. Check out some of their responses below:

“Their house, their rules,” one user writes. Another user echoing a similar sentiment replied, “@twitter [decides]. If that’s not ok with you, then I suggest you stay off Twitter.”

“The people who own Twitter?” one user responded. “As it’s their company and platform…They allow us to use it, that doesn’t allow us to do what whatever (sic) we want on it.”

One user called out the social media platform writing, “If you want to know who your masters are, find out who you are not allowed to criticize.”

Tim Allen for President?

With the campaign season in full swing given next month’s presidential election, many across the U.S. show support for their preferred candidates via yard signs. However, one sign particularly caught Allen’s eye.

Earlier in the day on Tuesday, the Toy Story 4 star shared a photo of a hilarious road sign that he says one of his friends sent him. While it likely is a photoshopped snap, it still seemingly gave Allen a good laugh.

The sign features Allen’s name in large lettering with a message below that reads: “He’s not running for anything, he just deserves a sign.”

Many on Twitter responded to Allen’s yard sign tweet with references to his classic sitcom Home Improvement. “I would so put one of these in my yard. And grunt every time I saw it,” one user writes. Check out more reactions below:
