Home Improvement fans have cause to celebrate, as Tim Allen reveals the first photo from the set of his new show with ‘Al’ actor Richard Karn – “Assembly Required”.

One of the most beloved American sitcoms of all time, Home Improvement remains a classic to this day. Tim Allen has been keeping plenty busy with FOX’s Last Man Standing and the Toy Story films. Fans are now ecstatic for his latest project, however – as it includes a reunion for the ages.

The toolman himself will be back in the mess with his long-time friend – ‘Al’, actor Richard Karn. The two are executive producing a new competition show for the History channel called Assembly Required. According to UPI.com:

Home Improvement co-stars Tim Allen and Richard Karn are teaming up again to star in a new competition series on History, titled Assembly Required.

Assembly Required will showcase builders from across the United States as they compete against each other and rebuild everyday household items. Contestants will also be tasked with building the items back better.

Allen announced the show back in August of this year with a tweet. “I’ve always admired people who repair something instead of replace it,” he says. “So, I created a competition show with HISTORY [channel] and my old buddy [Richard Karn], to challenge the people who love to get stuff done!”

Today, Allen shares the very first photo from the set of their new show, and it looks glorious. Retro, manly, and full of callbacks to Home Improvement – the stage looks to be set for a truly fun time.

Unfortunately, we still don’t know much about the show beyond what Allen has shared. We do know, however, that Assembly Required is set to hit the History Channel next year for a 2021 release.
