Actor Tim Allen posted a selfie from the set of his new show Assembly Required on Thursday night.

“Working this week on the History Channel show ‘Assembly Required’ with Richard Karn. Lots of laughs,” wrote Allen, who posed alongside former Home Improvement co-star Richard Karn.

The show, set to air on the History Channel, will challenge builders from around the United States to compete against each other as they work to rebuild everyday items. They’ll have to improve on the rebuilding process if they want to win.

Karn also shared a photo on his Twitter page of he and Allen working together on set.

“Finishing up the ‘AssemblyRequired’ season!!!… it’s going to be amazing,” Karn said on Twitter.

Allen and Karn were co-stars in one of the most-beloved American sitcoms of all time, Home Improvement. They famously portrayed Tim Taylor and Al Borland. The series ran for eight seasons from 1991 to 1999.

Much to the delight of Home Improvement fans, the dynamic duo will now be executive producing Assembly Required.

Tim Allen & Richard Karn Reunite

Allen announced the show back in August of this year with a tweet. “I’ve always admired people who repair something instead of replace it,” he says. “So, I created a competition show with HISTORY [channel] and my old buddy [Richard Karn], to challenge the people who love to get stuff done!”

Earlier this month, Allen shared the very first photo from the set of their new show, and it looks glorious. Retro, manly, and full of callbacks to Home Improvement – the stage looks to be set for a truly fun time.

It looks like both Tim Allen and Richard Karn have some very fun plans in mind for the show. Of course, it will be made more exciting for Home Improvement fans due to the stars’ roles on that show. Unfortunately, we still don’t know much more about the show beyond what Allen and Karn have shared.

We do know, however, that Assembly Required is set to hit the History Channel next year for a 2021 release.
