Tim Allen is ramping up excitement for his upcoming TV show by posting a throwback photo from the set Home Improvement. The Toy Story actor took to social media to upload the snap showing him and his former co-star Richard Karn.

“I’ve always admired people who repair something instead or replace it,” Allen captions the photo. “So, I created a competition show with @HISTORY, and my old buddy @TheRichardKarn, to challenge the people who love to get stuff done!”

Since posting the photo, thousands of fans showered the picture with likes. Furthermore, many replied to the post to express how much they can’t wait to watch the upcoming HISTORY channel series.

“This sounds like something I’d happily watch…” one user writes. “Wait..what?! A show with you and Richard Karn…?” another commented. “How do I watch this show?!?!”

At the end of last month, Variety reported that Allen and Karn once again plan to team up for a new show under the working title, Assembly Required. Tim Allen released a statement at the time to let the fans know what to expect from the new series.

“Let’s face it, we’re living in a throwaway society,” he says. “We buy, break, replace… rinse and repeat. Whatever happened to repair and rebuild?!  There are some people who unfriend, unfollow and dispose of anything that offends, annoys or breaks – so I’ve created a show to remind people of the satisfaction and pride that comes from rebuilding something on their own.”

In conclusion, Allen says, “And who better to join me than my buddy from the old Tool Time days – Richard Karn! Now we’re talking More Power!”

Assembly Required, set to air on the HISTORY network, reportedly pits participants against one another in a competition designed to “awaken their inner builder.” Learn more here.
