Tim Allen’s ‘Last Man Standing’ Jokes About COVID-19 Safety and NFL Ratings in Clips of Final Season

Well it looks like Tim Allen won’t be the last man standing. But he’s going out with a bang on social media.

In a series of clips on the official Instagram account for “Last Man Standing,” Tim Allen and co-star Nancy Travis are shown in various scenes. Not only do these videos announce the show’s ending, but also take aim at various trending topics.

First up, Allen can be seen wearing an umpire’s mask while trying to drink a beer. His wife on the show Vanessa Baxter, played by Travis, walks into the living room area. She tells Allen that the face shield doesn’t count as a mask.

The caption reads:

“Are you sure…? 😉  Tim Allen is back for the final season of #LastManStanding this January on @foxtv.”

‘Last Man Standing’ Instagram Continues to Release Videos

The latest post on the Instagram account is talking about NFL ratings. Travis is asking Allen if Tom Brady and Drew Brees are retiring this football season. Allen answers with “they haven’t said yet.’ Travis goes onto ask if the ratings would increase due to the “ageless wonders” retiring.

They both turn to the camera and give smirks, seemingly referring to ratings on their own show’s last season.

“Hmm… what could they possibly be alluding to? 😉  Anyways, the final season of #LastManStanding is this January on @foxtv.”

Allen and Travis are both “ageless TV wonders.” Allen rose to fame on the hit TV show “Home Improvement.” Travis has been in many blockbuster hits, in addition to the TV show “The Kominsky Method.”

The final season of “The Last Man Standing” is set to air January 2021 on FOX.
