Today’s lovable talk show host Hoda Kotb may not always share details of her personal life. However, in an adorable photo, Kotb shared an image of her young daughter to send a “Happy Birthday” message to her friend.

The post on Instagram showed a smiling Haley, Kotb’s daughter whom she adopted in 2017, along with two of her pals.

“Happy bday sharky. You are one in a million,” Kotb wrote.

Kotb’s daughter is seen smiling big with a glowing light framing her angelic face. The young girl looks truly happy as she poses for the selfie with her family friends. The photo was heavily liked and commented on as friends and fans shared their adoration for the picture.

Interestingly, Kotb recently celebrated a birthday of her own. She shared the day gathered with family and friends, posting a photo on Instagram which read, “My kinda birthday.’

Kotb is seen in the photo smiling ear-to-ear with her closest friends around her. The TV host turned 57.

She was also celebrated by many celebrity friends online, including TV co-host Savannah Guthrie, Arianna Huffington and Reba McEntire.

In addition to Haley, Kotb also adopted her daughter Hope in 2019. The 57-year-old has long spoken of wanting a large family and even tried to adopt a third child recently. However, the pandemic put a halt on her plans.

“You know what’s funny about the adoption stuff that’s going on now, apparently it’s really slow during this time, during COVID,” she said. “I thought it would be a different game,” said in an update with Today.

Moreover, Kotb’s love of being a mom has brought her immense joy, she said. She shares her daughters with fiance Joel Schiffman.

Hoda Kotb Shows Support for Athletes in Tokyo

Having daughters might be one of the reasons Hoda Kotb voiced her support for the US Women’s Gymnastics Team in Tokyo – but it certainly isn’t the only reason. The TV host recently spoke with decorated gymnast Simone Biles in an interview.

The two discussed Biles’ reasons for pulling out of the team competition. Additionally, Kotb candidly spoke with Biles about the importance of mental health in athletics. When Biles announced her return to the sole event final on the balance beam, Kotb said she was rooting for the gymnast.

“This is just a moment for her to overcome something that has been scaring her. And I’m rooting for her,” Kotb explained. “I hope she gets a medal. I think that would be great. But, what I’m really rooting for is so she can overcome what’s bothering her. I think that’s an important moment for her.”
