Travis Tritt has been hitting the road recently as he gets back to touring, but he had time for a must-see John Wayne pit stop.
The John Wayne Experience in Fort Worth, Texas is the quintessential experience for any fan of the legendary actor. Featuring 10,000 square feet of exhibits and materials dedicated to “The Duke,” it gives an inside look to the life of John Wayne.
That sounded like a fantastic afternoon to Tritt, so the country star followed up on his show in the area with a visit. On Instagram, Tritt shared photos from his tour through the “experience.”

The official John Wayne account showed their gratitude with a “Thank you for visiting!!” reply coupled with some cowboy hat emojis.
All the images of Tritt exploring the museum are awesome, but the one that stands out from the rest is definitely when he’s standing next to a life-size John Wayne cut-out. Travis Tritt can’t help but grin as he stares up at The Duke.
Travis Tritt Performs at Billy Bob’s Before Hitting the John Wayne Experience
It’s not especially difficult to visit the John Wayne Experience if you’re playing at the legendary Billy Bob’s Texas. The music venue boasts itself as the “world’s largest honky tonk,” and, in normal times, hosts a ton of country and western acts.
The reason why it’s easy to visit is that the establishment sits in the Fort Worth Stockyards, a historic district that also happens to hold the Experience. A pretty sweet combo if you ask us.
So before he hit the museum today, Tritt was entertaining fans at Billy Bob’s the night prior on June 4.
