‘Big Sky’: Does Season 2 Trailer Hint at Ronald’s Fate?

by Joe Rutland

There’s a little hint in a trailer that is out advancing Season 2 of “Big Sky” on ABC. Do we know what happens to creepy Ronald?

The drama was haunted by Ronald Pergman, played by Brian Geraghty, in its first season.

He has caused a lot of problems. Ronald had help from Montana Highway Patrol Officer Rick Legarski, played by John Carroll Lynch.

But will he be out there causing more trouble? Let’s take a look at this Season 2 trailer for “Big Sky” released on Thursday.

Who else is in the trailer?

An article from TV Line states that Ren, played by Janina Gavankar; Tonya, played by Jamie-Lynn Sigler; possible teen delinquent Max, played by Madelyn Kientz); and Travis, played by Logan Marshall-Green, appear in the trailer.

They and many others are additions to “Big Sky” this season.

Yes, this trailer also shows Katheryn Winnick as Jenny Hoyt and Lylie Bunbury as Cassie Dwell. Those two investigators are thrown back into yet another case.

So, “Big Sky” will open its new season at 10 p.m. Eastern, 9 p.m. Central, on Thursday, Sept. 30.

This drama was brought to TV by veteran show creator David E. Kelley. He took the books from “The Highway” series written by C.J. Box and used them to put together an intriguing show.

‘Big Sky’ Brings Back John Carroll Lynch After Character Killed In Season 1

As we mentioned earlier, John Carroll Lynch is coming back once again as Legarski.

Now the interesting part is the “Big Sky” star happened to be killed off in Season 1. How is this going to work?

An article from Deadline stated he will appear at some point in the drama. Details about Lynch playing Legarski are under wraps. The actor showed up in August for a quick moment at the TCA event in Los Angeles.

Lynch took Legarski and his connection to Ronald in Season 1. Again, how Legarski gets back into “Big Sky” for a second season remains in the hands of show producers.

Of course, fans know that Hoyt and Dewell hunted down kidnappers who were part of a sex trafficking ring. Both of them worked hard to solve that case. Ronald got out again, as you could tell in the trailer.

What will he lead the former cop and private investigator to find this season? We don’t know. Based on last season, though, one could surmise there’s going to be trouble yet again.

We talked about some newcomers. But who returns, besides the main cast of stars? Omar Metwally is back as Deputy U.S. Marshal Mark Lindor. Anja Savcic joins the regular cast as Ronald’s girlfriend, Scarlet Leyendecker. Savcic made recurring appearances in the first season.
