In a moment where a picture tells the story, “Blue Bloods” star Bridget Moynahan met up with NBA legend Dikembe Mutumbo.

Moynahan, who plays Assistant District Attorney Erin Reagan on the CBS police drama, managed to get a photo with Mutumbo on Saturday.

Take a look at these two stars from the worlds of acting and sports, respectively, cross paths.

Moynahan and Mutumbo were among many actors and sports athletes who showed up at “Global Citizen Live NYC” on Saturday. The event also is taking place in Los Angeles.

According to the Global Citizen website, the event “is a 24-hour live broadcast with events and performances happening around the world beginning Sept. 25.

The website said the broadcast will “feature dozens of artists, activists, corporate leaders, philanthropists, and world leaders all uniting to defend the planet and defeat poverty, in support of Global Citizen’s year-long Recovery Plan for the World campaign, which is working to kickstart an equitable global recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.”

Mutumbo played 18 seasons in the National Basketball Association for Denver, Atlanta, Philadelphia, New Jersey, New York, and Houston. These days, his focus is on humanitarian work for his home country of the Republic of the Congo.

Mutumbo Made Career of Blocking Shots; Moynahan Is Part of Group There Since First Show

Basketball fans remember him making numerous blocked shots in his career. Mutumbo would follow up a block by waving his index finger in the air.

“Blue Bloods” is getting ready for its 12th season to premiere on Friday, Oct. 1, at 10 p.m. Eastern, 9 p.m. Central.

Now people who have followed Moynahan’s career closely know she’s been around the sports world a bit. She dated NFL quarterback Tom Brady for a bit when Brady was with the New England Patriots.

Moynahan is among a group of five actors on “Blue Bloods” who have been there since the first episode. Others include Tom Selleck, who plays NYPD Commissioner Frank Reagan; Donnie Wahlberg, who plays Detective Danny Reagan; Will Estes, who plays Sergeant Jamie Reagan; and Len Cariou, who plays Retired NYPD Commissioner Henry Reagan.

They all will be back as the CBS police drama ventures forth for a new season.

Speaking of football, Moynahan took time recently to take a dig at the Washington Football Team. The former Redskins have not come up with a new name yet, so they’re playing again this season with the WFT name.

@WashingtonNFL couldn’t come up with a more original name during the off-season? Seriously,” Moynahan tweeted on Sept. 12. Some NFL fans may share her sentiments.
