“Blue Bloods” star Sami Gayle has been pretty much absent from the CBS crime drama lately, but she’s doing OK at the beach.
Gayle, who plays Nicki Reagan-Boyle, shared a photo on Instagram of her day in the sand. She appeared to be quite busy yet relaxed in this pic, which you can see below.
As you can see, Gayle has those wicked tool shades to keep her eyes protected from the glaring sun.
Nicky took a job out in San Francisco on “Blue Bloods,” yet she made a cameo appearance last season. But Gayle has been spending time graduating from college and working on other film projects. It remains unclear when she will return to “Blue Bloods” but Gayle remains part of the cast as a recurring character.
While Gayle is spending time on her tan, her “Blue Bloods” family is getting ready to have Season 12 open up. Outsiders, you can catch the season premiere on CBS on Friday, Oct. 1, at 10 p.m. Eastern, 9 p.m. Central.
Before you ask and start wondering, Tom Selleck returns as NYPD Commissioner Frank Reagan. Other cast members coming back as part of the regular cast members include Donnie Wahlberg, Bridget Moynahan, and Will Estes.
So, all of you “Blue Bloods” fans can make your arrangements for Oct. 1 accordingly.
‘Blue Bloods’ Star Found Something That She and Her Character Have In Common
It probably is hard for some actors to see a thread of similarity between themselves and their characters.
But “Blue Bloods” star Sami Gayle does not fall into that category. She did play a college student on the show and her life definitely revolved around both school and work.
Heavens, though, what about her schedule? Gayle talked about that with Hollywood Life.
She said that her sleep patterns weren’t good but adds, “It was the best time of my life, though.” Gayle also was working on a film, “Candy Jar,” in Atlanta at the time of this interview.
Gayle said, “We shot [a] Wednesday-to-Sunday schedule. I did this for about seven weeks. On Sunday night, we’d finish shooting, I don’t know maybe at three or four in the morning. I’d get on a plane at 6 a.m., I would come to New York, shoot ‘Blue Bloods’ in the morning, then I would go to school.”
But the actress-student arranged her schedule at school to help take the pressure off on days she’d be filming.
“I boarded my classes that semester from 1 to 8 so that I could attend as many as possible on the Monday [and] Tuesday,” Gayle said. “I wrote my papers on planes!”
