Do you love the popular NBC series “Friday Night Lights?” Do you want to rewatch it and learn some background details you haven’t learned before?

Well, thanks to a new podcast hosted by the show’s stars Derek Phillips and Stacey Oristano, you can do just that. In the drama, Phillips played the character of Billy Riggins. Oristano played Mindy Collette, who later became Mindy Collette-Riggins after she and Billy married.

According to Deadline, the new podcast is titled “Clear Eyes, Full Hearts: A Friday Night Lights Rewatch.” As fans of the series are aware, the podcast title is a reference to something head football coach Eric Taylor shares with his team.

So, what should fans of “Friday Night Lights” expect from this new rewatch podcast? Well, they can reportedly expect for Oristano and Phillips to discuss some of the show’s most famous moments. They are also expected to share stories about the production of the show. They also plan to answer questions from fans.

Listeners can also expect special guests to join in on the fun. These special guests will include members of the cast, directors, and writers of “Friday Night Lights.”

New Podcast Hosts Said They ‘Can’t Wait to Rewatch the Show’ ‘Friday Night Lights’

Unsurprisingly, Derek Phillips and Stacey Oristano are very happy to be returning to the world of Dillon, Texas.

“We can’t wait to rewatch the show with the fans and rediscover the magic of ‘Friday Night Lights.’ We’re excited to partner with Black Barrel Media, Ritual Productions, and Cadence13 to bring this rewatch to life,” the hosts shared.

The ongoing popularity of the series that aired its last episode more than 10 years ago was a driving force behind the creation of the new podcast.

“Fifteen years later, ‘Friday Night Lights’ remains at the top of the list of iconic series, beloved by fans around the world. We’re thrilled to team up with Derek, Stacey, and our partners at Black Barrel Media and Ritual Productions to revisit our favorite characters, moments, and memories,” said Cadence13 Chief Content Officer Chris Corcoran.

The new podcast hosted by Phillips and Oristano will debut on Tuesday, Sept. 28. It is a project from Cadence13, which is owned by Audacy.

According to IMDb, “Friday Night Lights” aired more than 70 episodes during its run from 2006 through 2011. It won three Primetime Emmy Awards. As fans are aware, the show focused on the character of head football coach Eric Taylor (played by Kyle Chandler) and his Dillon Panthers football team. This television series was created by Peter Berg. It was based on a book by Buzz Bissinger.

Also part of the “Friday Night Lights” cast were Connie Britton, Michael B. Jordan, Taylor Kitsch, Zach Gilford, Aimee Teegarden, Brad LeLand, Jesse Plemmons, Blue Deckert, and Adrianne Palicki.
