Reggie Lee, a former star of the hit TV series Grimm, is reportedly set to make a guest-starring appearance in an upcoming episode of Law & Order: SVU.

According to IMDb, along with starring on Grimm, Reggie Lee has made appearances on The Rookie, American Dad!, All Rise, Fresh off the Boat, and Hawaii Five-0. He recently just finished the production of Netflix’s The Lincoln Lawyer.

TV Insider reveals that Reggie Lee will be appearing in episode 20 of the current season of Law & Order: SVU. He will be playing the father of a missing teenage girl. Along with Lee, Virginia Kull, who is known for her roles in Big Little Lies and Gracepoint will be playing the girl’s mother.

Law & Order: SVU will be returning with a new episode on April 7th. In the upcoming episode, called Once Upon a Time in El Barrio, Velasco asks Benson for help finding three girls who were trafficked from his hometown to New York City.

The show reportedly announced in January it was taking a mid-season break for a month. Express reports at the time that the news didn’t sit too well with the show’s fans. This is due to the number of breaks that the series has already taken so far. It missed a week in October and took a three-week break in November. It then only aired one episode before breaking for the year.

Reggie Lee Opens Up About His Acting Passion

During an interview with Pop-Culturalist in 2021, Reggie Lee opened up about what drew him into acting. “I grew up in Ohio. I was watching this TV movie with Timothy Bottom. And his performance really moved me. I was like, ‘I want to do that.’”

However, Reggie Lee stated that his parents were not exactly thrilled with the idea of him going into acting in the first place. “My parents said, ‘No, that’s a hobby. You can’t do that.”

This didn’t really stop the upcoming Law & Order: SVU guest star from pursuing his dream. So he decided to perform in theater in Ohio and Cleveland. “I went on the Broadway route and did a couple shows in New York City. Then I decided I wanted to do film and TV. Of course, none of this is as easy as that. But I wish it were.”

When asked about his transition as an Asian actor, Reggie Lee explained that he felt the real transition happened when he was on Grimm in 2010. “I finally felt part of a cast and they were developing my character to be three-dimensional. We weren’t just filling a quota. Were thereto be part of the fabric of America. It was like, ‘Yeah, why not have an Asian cop instead of an Asian doctor? Why can’t he have a love interest or a life outside of what we see on the show?’”
