The cast of “NCIS” headed to Paleyfest amid the backend of season 19 this week. And, as our current stars posed together on the event’s “red carpet,” fans were dismayed to see beloved Gibbs actor Mark Harmon missing from the photo. See what they had to say below.

“Mark [Harmon] should be there,” lamented one fan. “He’s still in the opening credits. Anything Gibbs would be great.”

Other “NCIS” fans numerous comments of “Where’s Gibbs?” while another simply expressed, “I want Gibbs. I want Gibbs. I want Gibbs.”

As always, requests for more Gibbs appearances were followed by comments begging showrunners to bring back other beloved “NCIS” alum. Often, these comments reference Cote de Pablo’s Ziva David and Michael Weatherly’s Anthony DiNozzo.

Compared to the cast that appeared in the “NCIS” pilot nearly 20 years ago, a lot has changed. In fact, of the above actors, just two are original “NCIS” cast members. That includes Sean Murray (Timothy McGee) and Brian Dietzen (Jimmy Palmer).

Nevertheless, despite many (many) comments begging for a Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs return, others shared their newfound love for the current cast.

“LOVE NCIS,” one of Wilmer Valderrama’s (Nick Torres’) followers wrote beneath his Paleyfest post. “[P]lease keep going. I loved Gibbs but Parker is doing a great job and the show is still great.”

Similar comments followed, like, “You are all wonderful and we enjoy watching your show. Keep doing what you’re doing because we love ya!!”

Entire ‘NCIS’ Franchise Renewed for Another Season

Whether you’re a fan of the latest “NCIS” cast or not, CBS has renewed the entirety of the franchise for another all-new season. That not only includes the flagship series, but its extremely successful spin-offs, “NCIS: Los Angeles” and the brand new “NCIS: Hawai’i.”

“NCIS,” with Gary Cole playing Special Agent in Charge Alden Parker, marks another series milestone as the fall will air the series 20th season. As such, “NCIS” remains one of the longest-running shows in television history.

Meanwhile, “NCIS: Los Angeles” prepares to close out its 13th season, with the West Coast team still trying to locate the beloved character, Hetty Lange (Linda Hunt). Hopefully, “NCIS” fans receive news regarding whether the actress will return to the series before its conclusion next month.

And finally, we have the franchise’s rookie spin-off, “NCIS: Hawai’i,” which, despite its newcomer status, has done incredibly well. Now, fans can expect to see the return of the tropically-based team with actress Vanessa Lachey as Special Agent in Charge Jane Tennant when season two debuts in the fall.

And, while there’s been no mention of a Gibbs return back on the flagship series, “NCIS” fans should not forget that the beloved actor still remains an executive producer onset, so while we might not see him, he’s still very much a part of the team.
