The Voice is back for Season 21 and we are in search of the next music superstar. We’ve got you covered here on Outsider with a full breakdown of the season premiere.

The premiere episode of Season 21 of The Voice aired on Monday evening at 8 p.m. ET. We got to see the first round of the blind auditions on Monday and those will wrap up on Tuesday evening at the same time. If you missed the long-anticipated premiere, you can always watch it the following day on NBC.com.

Perhaps the biggest change heading into Season 21 of the popular singing competition was the addition of pop star Ariana Grande. She will be taking the place of Nick Jonas as a vocal coach. In doing so, she will be joining up with mainstays on the show, John Legend, Blake Shelton, and Kelly Clarkson. The official Twitter account for The Voice tweeted after the show saying, “@arianagrande has officially arrived! #VoicePremiere”

It’s only been one episode, but fans of the show have already been loving Grande’s presence in the coaching chair. So many fans left comments like, “YES YES YES, #TeamAriana !!!!” and “Ariana DIDN’T COME TO PLAY! #TeamAriana”

“I love this season so much already,” another fan replied. “[Ariana Grande] is the best thing to happen to The Voice.”

‘The Voice’ Coaches Opened Up Season 21 With a Performance

It’s no surprise that fans of The Voice have been highly anticipating the Season 21 premiere. And they really couldn’t have asked for a better way to start off the season. All four coaches got things started off on the right foot with a couple of live performances. The two guys, Blake Shelton and John Legend teamed up for an incredible performance of “Hold On I’m Coming.”

As for the two ladies, Ariana Grande and Kelly Clarkson performed Aretha Franklin’s “Respect” together. And it’s safe to say that performance was just amazing. Grande was dressed up in style in a pink tank top, pink flare pants, and she even sported a cowgirl hat. It was definitely one heck of a way to introduce her to fans of the show. But when it comes right down to it, Grande isn’t on the show to sing. She’s on the show to listen. She pointed out as much during the episode.

“I believe my ears are superior to my voice,” she said.
