Tonight kicked off the 21st season of NBC’s hit talent show “The Voice.”
In celebration of that, the show’s iconic judges delivered an unbelievably fun performance.
Country star Blake Shelton paired up with the R&B icon John Legend. Then, Country-Pop Princess Kelly Clarkson teamed up with pop sensation Ariana Grande. The pairs’ performances separately, featuring Sam & Dave’s “Hold On, I’m Coming,” and Aretha Franklin’s “Respect,” were memorable regardless. However, it was their combined performance at the end of the segment that has us craving more. Check it out below.

@NBCTheVoice deemed the pairing of Ariana Grande and Kelly Clarkson the “powerhouse duo of our dreams.” If their vocalizations alone didn’t prove that, I’m not sure what will.
Further, the hit show recognized the gentlemen’s ability to light up “The Voice” stage. And while that’s no doubt true, I still believe the quadra-performance at the end is truly what lit things up.
Additionally, what made the performance even more memorable is the addition of “The Voice” judge, Ariana Grande. Grande is known for her wide-ranging vocal range. However, tonight, what highlights her fun persona is the hot pink modern take on a Western pin-up that the young artist debuted. Her outfit featured strands of white pearls and a light-colored cowboy hat.
Regardless, though, all of the “The Voice” judges completely lit up the stage, therefore, creating major pressure ahead of tonight’s performers.

Our beloved “The Voice” judges frequently clash concerning which contestants should join their teams and why. However, two of those judges recently clashed ahead of Ariana Grande’s inclusion into the judge’s panel with this 21st season.
Apparently, Blake Shelton has past beef with the young pop star although he’s only made her aware of it now.
He recently revealed during an interview with People and the other judges of “The Voice” that Grande previously crushed his dreams. In 2016, the country star released his new album If I’m Honest the same day Ariana Grande released her latest album Dangerous Woman.
Apparently, the country star had hopes of achieving the number one album in the country, however, the pop star’s release dashed those dreams in an instant. In regards to the event, Shelton told Grande, “You trashed my album!” although, knowing the country star, it was all meant in good fun.
Now, we can only hope the two avoid any other major fallout as the 21st season of “The Voice” ensues. On behalf of Outsiders everywhere, we wish the two fun judges all the best this season.
