“1883” star LaMonica Garrett dressed to the nines for the show’s premiere on Saturday, just one week before the first episode drops on Paramount Plus.

Garrett rocked the red carpet in a stunning all-black ensemble. From the top of his wide-brim hat to the toes of his cowboy boots, Garrett’s look shined at the premiere. A special shoutout to his impeccable bolo tie, and a custom-made belt buckle that he showed off that night.

The “1883” star shared a closeup of the belt buckle on his Twitter page earlier yesterday. If you look at the picture below, you can see how it’s engraved with “1883” in shining white and gold.

“Grateful to be a part of this show, and extremely proud to bring Thomas off of the page. Thank you @WynnLasVegas for an amazing evening. @1883Official Premieres this Sunday after @Yellowstone,” Garrett captioned his post. Extra points for his inclusion of the pun, “‘BUCKLE UP.'”

Garrett almost didn’t make it to the “1883” premiere, telling PEOPLE yesterday that a dust storm almost stopped his and other cast members’ flight to Vegas.

“I got dust in places it shouldn’t be,” he joked to the outlet. “It was bad. The winds were like 60 miles per hour. It almost grounded our flight, and we weren’t gonna make it here until today.” Luckily for him (and us), Garrett made it to the premiere, able to show off his fancy new belt buckle.

We can’t wait to see him on our screens next week, kicking ass right alongside Sam Elliott. Based on what we know of the show, Garret’s character Thomas is the right-hand man of Elliott’s character, Shea Brennan. Brennan is a Pinkerton agent and Civil War vet, from the looks of the previews.

‘1883’ Star LaMonica Garrett Says One Co-Star Always Sings on Set

During his earlier interview with PEOPLE, “1883” star LaMonica Garrett also opened up about Tim McGraw’s singing habits on set.

Apparently, the country star is always singing something, even if it’s nonsense. “On set, Tim sings every day,” Garrett told the outlet. “Every day, like in between takes, he’s just, he’s humming. He’s doing something. He sings all the time.”

McGraw doesn’t differentiate. He’ll sing his songs, other people’s songs, or he’ll make things up about what’s going on around him.

“He’ll sing, ‘the horse is angry today’ in a jingle,” Garrett revealed. “You know, he’s a singer and that’s what singers do, they sing about their own stuff and everything else.”

The “1883” star raises a good point. Many singers always have a tune in their head or a lyric on the tip of their tongue. Apparently, McGraw felt comfortable enough around cast and crew members to just let that all out while filming the show.
